Part 01 / Understanding social Impact
The first part of this course introduces social impact, highlighting some key concepts and developments relating to this ecosystem. You will gain an understanding of changes across what was formerly seen as a distinct social sector to examine the cross-sectoral social purpose developments that includes traditional organizational structures of Charities and Not For-Profits, Business and Government, but also new and emerging 'hybrid' structures and programs. The course will demonstrate how issues around social, economic, and environmental problems across societies are addressed through innovation and business entrepreneurship, cross sectoral collaboration, etc.

Part 02 / Applying social impact
The second part of the course reflects on this question; when is it good business practice to invest for social good? What are some of the innovative and effective strategies being employed by a range of organizations for developing social impact around the world? This course will encourage founders to reflect on developing their own business strategy to drive social impact. We will look at different business models, organizational structures that enable founders and businesses to give back to workers and communities in which they operate.

Part 03 / Measuring & Reporting your impact
Measuring and reporting social impact is important for any social purpose business. In as much as you set financial goals for your business, and with each quarter, reflect and adapt those goals; the same should be done for your social impact. But how exactly do you go about doing this? What metrics should you use? How should you collect data? This course will introduce you to different frameworks, such as the SDGs or PRIs (Principles for Responsible investing. You will understand how to better define your metric or indicators, and different ways or vehicles through which you can share and communicate impact data to different stakeholders.
